Sophia Cowley is graduating this spring from the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program at Queen’s University with a specialization in the Physiological Basis of Health and Disease.

During her time at Queen’s in Kingston, ON, she developed a strong interest in cardiovascular care and research. She has contributed to multiple quality improvement and clinical initiatives through her work at APEX Heart Centre and the Queen’s Department of Family Medicine.

This summer, Sophia is continuing her research at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), contributing to pediatric health research in the Department of Child Health Evaluative Sciences. In the fall, she plans to begin Physician Assistant studies and aims to apply her training in cardiovascular imaging modalities in her future career.
