Dr. Sanela Music is a cardiologist and clinician teacher at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, where she is also an assistant professor in the Faculty of Medicine. Her areas of expertise include heart failure, cardiac transplantation, echocardiography, and pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Music completed her medical degree at McGill University, followed by residency training in internal medicine and adult cardiology. She pursued further specialization with fellowships in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at Northwestern University, and in advanced echocardiography at the University of California, San Francisco. Her research and clinical interests focus on the intersection of heart failure and cardiac imaging, diagnosis and management of cardiomyopathies, heart transplantation, valvular disease, pulmonary hypertension, and exercise hemodynamics.
