At the end of this session, the participant will be able to: • Understand the role of echocardiographic techniques in the assessment of interaction between LV myocardial function, valvular afterload, and arterial afterload in aortic stenosis • Discuss why earlier intervention in aortic stenosis patients may be of clinical benefit • Become aware of ongoing investigative clinical trials addressing outcomes of TAVR in patients with moderate aortic stenosis
