Ashley is a skilled and passionate Diagnostic Medical Sonographer who graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in 2013, where she earned a diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography with dual specialization in both General and Cardiac Sonography. She began her professional journey with Interior Health in the same year and later expanded her expertise in pediatric sonography through advanced training at the Burwin Institute and BC Children’s Hospital in 2018.
Ashley’s education and professional development advanced as the Regional Education Coordinator for Cardiac Diagnostics. She has collaborated in developing and implementing education resources for sonographers across the region. In her current role as Sonography Educator with the Professional Practice Office, she has develped a deep understanding of the profession and regulatory framework. Additionally, Ashley holds a formal position as a Clinical Instructor and Skills Assessor at BCIT, where she mentors and evaluates aspiring sonographers, bringing her passion for education into practice.
Raised in the scenic Okanagan, Ashley enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle with her family. Whether snowmobiling at their winter cabin or embarking on motorhome adventures through the backcountry in warmer months, she embraces the natural beauty of the area and values the balance between her professional and personal life.
