Biography

Neelakshi (Nelly) Sharma is a Master’s student in the Translational Medicine program at Queen’s University, conducting research at the Cardiovascular Imaging Network at Queen’s (CINQ) lab. Her work focuses on integrating non-invasive imaging techniques to improve the prediction and diagnosis of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with a particular emphasis on three-dimensional carotid ultrasound for plaque detection in patients undergoing stress echocardiography.
